Corrections, disputes and removals
Malacca Homestay Guide is a free directory where homestay businesses are scored and ranked based on public Google reviews. Each listing pulls its basic facts (name, address, phone, website, hours, services offered) from publicly available sources, and every score is calculated by the same fixed rubric applied to all businesses equally. A listing costs nothing to maintain, and no payment can change your score or ranking. This page explains how to fix factual errors, challenge a score, or ask for your listing to be removed. Fixing factual errors
If your business name, address, phone number, website, opening hours, or list of services is wrong on your listing, you can request a correction. We fix these fields when you provide the correct information and give us something to verify it against, such as your website or your Google Business Profile. Once a correction is applied, it stays in place even when we refresh our data in future cycles.
Disputing a score
A score can only be disputed if the input data is wrong, not because you disagree with the number itself. Valid disputes claim that the listing was matched to the wrong business, that reviews were attributed to you incorrectly, or that our summary misstates what reviewers actually wrote. When you dispute, we re-check the sources and regenerate your listing. We do not hand-edit scores.
Requesting removal
Your listing may be removed if your business is permanently closed, if it is a duplicate of another entry, or if it falls outside the scope of this directory. Our re-verification process runs monthly and automatically catches businesses that have closed. An accurate and in-scope listing will not be removed, and if your request is declined, we explain why plainly.

How fast we respond
Every request gets an acknowledgment within 5 business days. Confirmed removals are completed within 7 days. If we decline your request, we send the reason with the decision.
